However one plugin of note that I use on a few sites is More Fields - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/more-fields/ It has some conflicts with 2.8 that have not yet been resolved in a plugin update. However in the forum there is a reasonable workaround - http://labs.dagensskiva.com/forum/topic.php?id=152 - for short-term solutions.
