@Brandon: Weird, Apache keeps going up and up the way your install of lighttpd is. It's kind of annoying to have to keep rebooting it every week or so but I will keep digging up resources to help ease the pain. I was also shocked to find out that my slice went down a week ago and I didn't even receive a notification! I couldn't log in through the shell or anything, had to give it a hard reboot :(

I am a happy slicehost user as well. However, I don't seem to have the same memory usage problems with Apache that you do. Right now my 256 slice has been up for 20 days and is only using 113MB of RAM for apache, mysql, pure-ftpd and postfix.

I tried running lighttpd - I really liked it. Simple and lightweight. My only complaint was that it has some infrequent memory issues and the longer your slice is up, the more memory it consumes.
