I know this is an old post, but thanks for the code and references to jQuery UI as well. Sometimes it's nice to use something with a little less overhead than jQuery though if you just need a specific functionality and not the whole toolbox.

@Ryan: Just draw the html into the tabbed div using PHP. Or you can use a client-side approach with the jQFeed plugin: http://plugins.jquery.com/project/jFeed. As far as getting help implementing such things, I would check out Stack Overflow or some other help forum.

I did find this URL, however I'm not sure how to incorporate this into jtabber.

@Ryan: Yes, you can pre-populate the tabs with server-side content that pulls in an RSS feed.

Is it possible to publish an external RSS feed to one of the tabs so that it can dynamically update without me having to publish new content?

@Jason: The tabs cannot work as links, but you can set a default tab to open when the page loads. You can use the 'showDefaultTab' as seen in the example http://boedesign.com/demos/jtabber/. View the source and you'll get the idea. I also recommend using a most up-to-date tab plugin like jQuery UI Tabs found here > http://jqueryui.com/demos/tabs/ as jTabber is no longer maintained.
